Why does ILEB exist?br Victorino Calderon is the director of ILEB and is supported by Grace Chapel. You can see in his invitation to perspective students the goals he has for ILEB.
Many times we dream of being active servants in the work of God, yet we do little for that to happen, we attended the church, we sat down to hear the message and although we like to one day beyond preaching to the church opposite, hardly what we will achieve if we do something about it.
In the church there is much to do, "And He Himself gave some apostles, some prophets, some evangelists and some pastors and teachers. In order to perfect the saints for works of ministry, for building up the body of Christ "Ephesians 4:11-12.
All Christians aspire to be used by God, just discovering your gift, and the only way to recoating is serving in different areas, but the most efficient way to serve is being prepared.
We invite you to prepare in ILEBC,. PREPARE! Find your place.
Have you dreamed of being master of the Bible?
Have you dreamed of being an evangelist?
Have you dreamed of being a lecturer Bible?
That may be your place in the Church, have your dream come true, just get ready to do a great job, because what you do will be to give honor and glory to God our Lord.
Overview of ILEB's work
The Bible institute (ILEB) is a mission effort that supports a Mexican National, Victorino Calderon, in the southern states of Mexico. Victorino is currently located in the city of San Cristobal in the state of Chiapas Mexico.
He recruits students, teaches, and equips teachers in the study of the Bible utilizing a self paced intensive study program. The program is divided into 3 levels to equip Christian (men and women) to understand the bible and to become ministers and teachers in their own congregations.
The students meet each week and study 3 lessons and take tests to confirm their mastery of the subject material. These tests are given in each local area by a local member who is the lead for ILEB in the area. Generally this is a 3rd year student or a member of the local congregation who has agreed to perform this role.
This year Victorino recruited four men and appointed them as sub-directors to help regularly support and encourage the students in their regions.
Student Participation in 2009
There are over 300 active students in ILEB under Victorino’s direction. 141 first level, 113 second level and 46 students. These students are located in the states of Chiapas, Campeche, Quintana Roo, and Yucatan in Southern Mexico. The students represent over 20 congregations most have no full time ministry staff and are lead and taught by volunteers that have little Biblical training or experience, until ILEB.
Students are encouraged as part of their course of study to be evangelistic in their communities and Victorino has reported numerous campaigns and several conversations as a result. Marriages are being strengthened and ministers are being identified. Congregations are growing and there is a excitement among the brethren in Mexico as their learn the wonders given in God’s Word.
Financial Summary
The ILEB mission support consists of funding for the ILEB operations and the support of Victorino Calderon. Currently we are providing approximately 40K a year in support of ILEB.
How can I help?
Victorino has been blessed this year with an increased number of students and a evangelistic spirit that is bearing fruit in many of the congregations. Provisions for literature, song books, Bibles as well as leadership training and mentoring are areas of ministry that can be increased with funding and volunteers.
