Welcome to the Elementary Program (K - 5th grade)
Our Goal
Our goal is to partner with parents to help raise up the next generation to have a thriving relationship with Jesus.
Elementary Small Groups (designed not to exceed 12 children per group)
- Kindergarten
- 1st grade
- 2nd grade

- 5th grade
Children move up to the next level on "Moving Day" which is typically mid-August.
Layout of the Elementary program:
Sunday at 9:30 am parents and children over the age of 2 assemble together in the auditorium for worship. Children are dismissed from worship assembly around 10 am where they are greeted and checked into a large-group experience we call "Oasis". At 10:45 am they are moved by their small group leaders into their assigned small groups and remain there until picked up at 11:45 am.
Curriculum
We use 252 Basics curriculum, modeled after Luke 2:52, which is built around 3 basic truths every child should embrace: I need to make the wise choice.I can trust God no matter what.I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Children learn a new virtue and verse each month, which is reinforced by the stories and activities done throughout the month.

Bringing Home the message
Children receive God Time cards each week to spend time reading the Bible and talking to God at home.
Parents/Guardians receive Parent Cue take home piece each week to discuss key concepts and ask questions with their children at home. Families are encouraged to keep this on their refrigerator where it can serve as a daily reminder of the monthly virtue and memory verse.
Volunteers
Each room is staffed by GCCM approved volunteers. Please consider Becoming a Volunteer in the Elementary program. It can go a long way in helping your child have positive feelings about God and it also enables you to see more directly what your child is learning.
