Welcome to the Preschool Program (Pre-K2 - Pre-K4)

Our goal

Our goal is to partner with parents to help raise up the next generation to have a thriving relationship with Jesus.

Preschool Small Groups
(designed not to exceed 12 children per group)

  • Pre-K3: 3 years old - 4 years old
  • Pre-K4: 4 years old - pre-kindergarten

Children move up to the next level on "Moving Day" which is typically mid-August.

Layout of the Preschool program:

Sunday at 9:30 am parents and children over the age of 2 assemble together in the auditorium for worship. Children are dismissed from worship assembly around 10 am where they are greeted and their parents check them into a large-group experience we call "graceland".  At 10:45 am they are moved by their small group leaders into their assigned small groups and remain there until picked up at 11:45 am.

Curriculum

The First Look curriculum is designed to teach one key truth every month. Lessons and activities are designed to engage all 5 senses. The goal of First Look is for children to know before the age of 5 that: God made meGod loves meJesus wants to be my friend forever!

Take a look at what your child is learning this month. Watch the First Look Vision Videos by visiting myfirstlook.org!

Bringing Home the message

First Look believes, "what happens at home is more important than what happens at church", and so does GCCM!
We provide Small Talk Cards, a  First Look monthly resource for parents that gives an overview of the Bible Stories learned each week,  activities, and discussion topics to encourage learning at home.

Volunteers

Each room is staffed by GCCM approved volunteers. Please consider Becoming a Volunteer in the Preschool program.  It can go a long way in helping your child have positive feelings about God and it also enables you to see more directly what your child is learning.
