Volunteering with Children and Youth

It is the purpose and intent of Grace Chapel Church of Christ to provide a safe, secure environment in which to teach and care for the children of our church and community. Our goal is to protect children from sexual abuse, child molestation, and other forms of physical abuse by employees or volunteers in this church and to protect employees and volunteers from false accusations. In all our ministries with children and youth, this congregation is committed to demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ so, that each child will be “surrounded by steadfast love, established in the faith, and confirmed and strengthened in the way that leads to life eternal.”

We want everyone to know that Grace Chapel is a Church who cares like Jesus.

I want to thank everyone who has filled out a Criminal consent form. I know you want to help us make Grace Chapel a safe environment for our children and youth. We appreciate you trusting in God and in Grace Chapel that Child Protection is something we need to be about.

I now need you to complete the following steps so that you can fulfill the requirements of our policies as well as state recommendations.

1.    Read over the Child Protection Policy
2.    Read the Child Protection Protocol
3.    Read the Mandated Reporting Law (Georgia Code – Domestic Relations)
4.    Watch the Child Protection Video (approximately 13 minutes)

Finally, please print, read and sign the Child Protection Acknowledgement Form, which is also found on the Grace Chapel Web Site in the same location described above.  Deposit your completed form in the Lock Box at the Nursery Check In Station area.  If you need a printed copy, some are available on the table under the Lock Box for your convenience.

Our current and future children thank you for “caring like Jesus”.
